The final chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen has been released, and the nail-biting and heart-breaking story has finally come to an end. The story of Yuji Itadori began when he ate the cursed object that housed the spirit of the malevolent sorcerer Sukuna. He’s then thrust into the world of jujutsu, where he encounters cruel cursed spirits, complex mentors, and new life-long friends. Throughout the manga’s events, Yuji undergoes trials and tribulations alongside Nobara Kugisaki, Megumi Fushiguro, and Satoru Gojo. After all of their sacrifices, the story finally comes to a close.
When Gege Akutami announced in August that they were ending the series in five more chapters, fans wondered if the author could answer all of their remaining burning questions. The status of certain characters, the state of the world after the events in Shinjuku, and what’s left for Yuji at the end. In the last chapter, Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara venture to handle the harassment of a mysterious cursed user sometime after the defeat of Sukuna.
The chapter begins where the last chapter is resolved. The main characters discuss their situation and plan to handle the cursed user when they lack information on them. After answering some questions, Megumi hypothesized that the technique must have a range of 50 meters. Yuji suggests taking the couple to an open field to find the culprit, but Megumi shoots that down because the culprit wouldn’t be stupid enough to reveal himself like that. Nobara suggests having Itadori take the woman and run until they’re out of range. Megumi shoots down the plan by saying the culprit won’t chase them. After some more banter, Megumi reveals his plan involving a forty-floor condo.
The plan is to have the couple go to the top floor and get out of the user’s range. Then, they strike when they notice the user. Megumi’s plan works perfectly as it’s short afterward that the technique breaks, and the team spots the user. Fans see a quick display of skill as Nobara and Yuji rush the man and corner him. They’re distracted by the enemy’s curse technique, which alters their faces. Before he can get away, however, Megumi stops him with a new Divine Dog.
