Senpai wa Otokonoko Anime Unveils Theme Song Artist, More Staff, July 4 Debut

 
 

The people making the TV show of Pom’s Senpai wa Otokonoko shared new pictures and info on Sunday. They showed another picture, told us who’s singing the start and end songs, shared more about the team, and said it will start on July 4.

Kujira sings the start song called “Wagamama” (Selfishness), and also the end song “Are ga Koi Datta no kana” (I Wonder If That Was Love). They’ll tell us who’s singing with Kujira for the end song later.

More people joining the team are:

  • Keiko Kitayama is doing Prop Design.
  • Yukari Yasuda from Olive is the Art Director.
  • Kentarō Akiyama from Studio Pablo is in charge of Art Setting.
  • Yoko Suzuki is doing Color Key.
  • Tomoya Kamijō is handling the Photography.
  • Nami Niinuma from Graphinica is editing.
  • Takeshi Saitō and Wired are working on the 3D CG.
  • Satoshi Motoyama is the Sound Director, and Bit Grooove Promotion is doing the Sound Production.

The show starts on July 4 at 24:55 JST on Fuji TV and other channels. Crunchyroll will stream it. In Tokyo, they’ll show the first three episodes early on June 9.

The main people acting are:

  • Shūichirō Umeda as Makoto Hanaoka
  • Akira Sekine as Saki Aoi
  • Yūma Uchida as Ryūji Taiga

Shinsuke Yanagi from project No.9 is the director, and Shōto Shinkai is drawing the characters and made the first picture. Yoriko Tomita is writing the story, and Yukari Hashimoto is making the music.

The manga is on Line Webtoon in English. It’s about Saki liking Makoto, who shares a big secret. Even after knowing, Saki still likes him. She asks for help from Ryūji, Makoto’s friend, and then things get complicated. Pom started the manga in 2019, and the eighth book came out on April 1. It won a poll at AnimeJapan in 2022.
