Great news from Kodansha’s Comic Days website and app! They just announced that the fifth book of Moyoco Anno’s “Hataraki Man” manga will be out on June 27th. This volume will have some new chapters that weren’t published before.
Also, on the same day, Shogakukan will release “Anno Moyoco SenshÅ«” (Moyoco Anno Selection).
Anno started “Hataraki Man” in 2004 but took a break in 2008. The last volume came out in August 2007.
This manga even inspired an anime series in 2006, and it was released on Blu-ray in 2019.
You might know Moyoco Anno from her other manga titles published in North America by companies like Viz Media, Del Rey (later picked up by Udon Entertainment), and Vertical. She also worked on character designs for her husband Hideaki Anno’s “Cutie Honey” movie.
And if you’re a fan of her other works like “Buffalo 5 Girls,” “Insufficient Direction,” “Memoirs of Amorous Gentlemen,” and “The Diary of Ochibi-san,” you’ll be glad to know they’ve been licensed too. In fact, “The Diary of Ochibi-san” even got its own TV anime shorts!
